So I am giving blogging another shot. It's been awhile since I posted here. So much has changed over the last year and a half. I have just gotten into playing Magic: The Gathering competitively. Not winning too much but everything has to start somewhere. I expect a long string of losses before I start winning. I can only hope to get better. I am so far playing three different formats.
One is Commander/EDH which is just casual and fun. The other two formats are Modern and Standard. I started with Standard 9 months ago and have only just begun playing Modern less than a month ago. I was initially doing this for fun but I got inspired by Frank Lepore, one of the article writers at magic.tcgplayer.com. I figured that since I like writing and love Magic, why not try and make it big? It seemed pretty straightforward. I could make a living doing what I loved. On top of that I would need a second job just to be realistic.
But beyond that, I am completely fine with trying to make ends meet by playing a game I love. Standard-wise, I am in a bit of a slump. I am pretty much playing a homebrew B/G aggro deck which I love but Standard is just pretty stale at the moment. Modern-wise, I am running a modified version of Melissa DeTora's affinity decklist which she posted right before GP (Grand Prix) Boston. I guess that is all I have to say for now. I shall get more in depth later.
